Going well in the nets so far, nice pickup and when you find the middle it certainly goes. First game sunday so fingers crossed
The pick up is outstanding , with a large middle. The carry case is a great touch, to support the transit of my bat .
This review is one year after purchase. When everything arrived and was unboxed you are genuinely astonished as to how good the equipment is. I actually had a problem with delivery but Freddie was amazing even promising to drive the order to me if there was any other issues. All the equipment is smart, the bat has been knocked in quite well as well but continue to knock in throughout the season for best results. Bat weight is great and gives you confidence in playing shots. Pads are light but strong. Not a single negative to say. Service via email is always prompt, professional and light hearted. Gutted there is only 5 stars to award..
Very light and comfortable yet offer maximum protection. Had a session in the nets and the only time I got hit on the pads was when practicing the ramp. If you could make coloured ones too,it would be good..saves the hustle of having to buy batting clads.. All in all,I'm impressed and will recommend my mates too.
Treated myself to new pads. Very sturdy feel. Just need to break them in now. Shall I wear them round the house over Christmas?
Really impressed with the service I received on a recent Batting glove purchase. There was a slight worn par ton 1 glove, the gloves were replaced very quickly and with no questions.
Took a punt on the bat for my son who plays a decent level at club cricket after he smashed one of his expensive bats to pieces. Said if he didn't like it I would use and after a few knock up in the garden net sessions I haven't seen it since. Guess I am not getting to use it.
I got my new bat in time to use it in the last game of the season (which happened to be my 70th birthday). As a treat the skipper let me open the batting. The bat felt wonderful, nicely weighted, and I was able to place balls far more accurately than I had with my old bat. I'd just reached my highest score of the season when unfortunately I pulled my hamstring, and had to retire (but at least I got a not out). The bat was in no way to blame. Hopefully I will be fully recovered and ready to swing this lovely piece of willow by next season.
PROS: Really well-weighted and comfortable in the hand, light enough to improve timing and confidence to defend or attack while still enabling you to reach the boundary.
CON: Scored 72 for the first time in a senior game yesterday and woke up to my body feeling like I've been jumped into a gang...be careful what you wish for!
As a career 11 with lofty ambitions of batting as high as 9, I rolled the dice for probably the final time replacing my bat. After only 3 innings the difference has been chalk and cheese, with my old one now feeling so bottom-heavy and awkward while my new VCC wand feeling so much more comfortable in hand.
The results? A quick 17 in a dads v lads game, hitting the 1s capt for my first ever 6. A dogged 2 against a 1s team to get home by 1wkt, and just this weekend doubling my previous HS, a 2-hour opening (by default to get it over with and then umpire!) knock of 72.
I felt more confident in defending, driving, pulling and even threw in a couple of cheeky reverses. I needed something to breathe new life into my game and give me a reason to come back next year, and really happy to thank VCC for doing just that.
Awesome bat & awesome value for money & great service. Great feel & great middle. Put a second grip on handle for comfort. Gloves also top quality. All round A* keep up the good work Jon B Adlington CC.
Great bat. Great service. Played the bat in a couple of games this season. Its really easy to play with and scores runs!
Only played two matches with the new bat, but already seeing the quality. Balance is near perfect and the ball pings of it when middled. Can recommend.
Nice ,wieght, could possibly be a slightly thicker handle unfortunately not been able to try it out in a game, because of a injury
Managed 44 yesterday on a first outing with the new bat including x7 fours and a six. Plenty of interest from the lads on both teams who saw and heard a great ping when managing to find the middle. Good balance and a great pick-up - an absolute bargain for the money.
Helpful website, fast dispatch, decent bat. My son is very happy with it. Do bear in mind that while it is ‘pre knocked-in’ they have perhaps underestimated the edges my son was going to hit over the last month, so it’s worth knocking in the edges a bit. Other than that, a decent bat. Thank you.

Haven't been out LB since wearing them...
Brought the pads after googling cricket pads for skinny legs and they do the trick for me. Much better than predecessors. I just need to try and stay in the wicket for longer to give them a proper test out lol.
Good bat but needs to be oiled and knocked in around edges before use.
First session in the nets and already have the rest of the team requesting to use it.
