Get yourself crease-ready with a brand new cricket bat. An affordable cricket bat selection no matter what size you are after. From kids to adults, we’ve got you covered.
The original cricket bat from Village Cricket Co. launched in 2020. The bat has taken village cricket grounds by storm.
With a simple approach, no flashy designs, a simple lightweight cricket bat with a low middle – perfect for the low bounce of UK wickets.
The longer brother of the village cricket bat. For the taller village cricketer who wants to protect their back from hunching over too much.
Same design as it’s smaller brother but with the longer handle.
Logos aren’t for everyone. And we get it, having ‘village’ on a bat might not be the right fit for you.
So we removed them so you can get the same affordable bat but without the design.
No matter the age, we have a bat suitable for everyone. From size one to harrow and everything in between.
Your kid will be smashing boundaries in no time at all.

Cricket Bat FAQs
The cricket bat you need will largely depend on your height. This corresponds to the length of the bat which makes sure it is comfortable for you to bat with.
Our bats come in all sizes from 1 to long handle and we even have a handy size guide to make sure you are getting the right option for you.
Cricket bats are made from wood from the willow tree. The Salix Alba tree to be exact.
Willow trees can grow in many places across the world, the most common locations for willow trees used in cricket bats are England, the Kashmir region of India as well as within Eastern Europe.
Choosing a cricket bat is a very personal decision. You may prefer the feel of a heavier bat in your hands or prefer a lighter bat to mean you can swing the cricket bat faster.
If you are unsure, ask your club mates if you can pick up their bat and have a little swing. Test out different weights and pick ups and see what you like.
At Village Cricket Co. we offer free returns to give you the peace of mind you can test out the bat and if it doesn't feel right return it for a full return.
What a question - the best cricket bat is really the best bat for the individual.
Based on your ability - you might know exactly what weight you want, the exact middle position, handle shape and everything. In which case, a custom made bat would be perfect for you.
If you love the game, and don't to a high standard (like us at Village Cricket Co.) you can opt for a similar choice and save some money for beers after the game by picking up a Village Cricket Bat.
In the simplest terms.
Cricket bats are typically made from willow wood. The process begins by selecting a high-quality willow tree and cutting it down. The wood is then left to dry for several months before being cut into the shape of a bat. The blade is then carved and sanded to the desired shape and size, with the handle attached using a glue and binding tape. The bat is finished with a coat of protective varnish before being ready for use.
