About Our Cricket Bat

We opted out of the fancy branding and we don’t make you choose between multiple different weights, shapes or styles. It’s a 2lb 9oz cricket bat that if you middle it, it flies. The low-middle bat, suitable for the low bouncing UK wickets comes ready to play.

I scored over 400 odd runs last season with my Village Cricket Co bat (good for me) and I don't think I would have got more with a more expensive one. The handle was a bit spongey in the nets this year and I wrote to Freddie to ask what he thought. The bat was replaced just like that - it arrived this morning. Great bat and great service thanks. Hopefully the edge on the new bat is as good as on the one it replaced.

I have used my VC bat for two seasons now and let me tell you, it can hit boundaries with ease. The weight is perfect for me and allows me to play classic or big (big is my style) shots.
I am looking forward to a 3rd season hopefully on the runs. Well done VC on a great product.

For orders under £100, standard delivery (3-5 days) is £5. Express delivery (1-3 days) is £9.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to knock it in?
Not at all. We’ve done it for you, don’t spend hours of your life annoying everyone banging your bat with a mallet to knock it in. Or worse, pay over the odds for other brands to do it for you.
Where is the bat made?
All of our bats are created India. Made from the Salix Alba willow grown in the Kashmir region of India. Similar to that of what Sachin Tendulkar used during his early career.
How is the bat so affordable?
There are a few ways we are able to keep the price down for you:
- The bat is sourced directly from the manufacturer, cutting out any middlemen
- In each size, we only offer 1 design, style and weight
- Keeping it simple,
we don’t sponsor professional players adding unnecessary costs
What does ready to play mean?
Ready to play means that our bats are pre-knocked in at factory by a machine. So your new bat is essentially ready to take straight into action without hours of knocking in using a mallet. However. we do still advise easing into using it starting with softer balls from slower bowlers in the nets.
What grade of willow is the bat?
All of our bats are made from grade G1+ Kashmir Willow. We spent two years testing different types of willow and found this perfect for village cricket. We wrote up our experiences during our research if you wanted to learn more.
